An update on JR....

A few weeks ago I felt impressed to bear my testimony on the progress that my children have made since we've lived here. I talked mainly about JR because he's the one I am most concerned about progressing because of his disabilities and such. When he was younger I had the strong impression that he need some extra help, speech, ect. We had someone come out once every other week for about a year to our home and work on speech and occupational therapy. Then when he turned three he qualified for preschool (this was harder on me than him) and it has done wonders for him. He has a preschool teacher whom I absolutely love, I really feel like there are people on this earth who have gifts. His preschool teacher has a gift of working with these kinds of children. She noticed that he didn't transition well at all so she made him his own chart and worked with him on it, she told me that it makes him feel empowered and it does! He also couldn't for the longest time think of things on his own and would just whine and fuss so we would have to guess, this was real frustrating for all of us. Now he can tell us what he wants and sometimes get it himself. Just a few weeks ago he was getting on the bus and he was sitting by the window closest to me and he waved with the I LOVE YOU sign on his hand. Of course this made me cry and thank my Heavenly Father for the guidance I have received in helping JR. He has trully made great progress!

We had a great Stake conf. This weekend. It was broadcasted from Salt Lake for all of Western Idaho. Utendorf spoke, Worthlin spoke, The general primary pres. spoke and Elder Neilson from the seventy spoke. From last nights talks and the talks that were given today, the theme seemed to me was about parenting and it was so great the messages that were given. Our stake pres. his talk last night was excellent! He gave a wonderful story about how we should be careful not to judge others and their hard kids that they get to raise. He said instead we should look at them and think to yourself, "God must have thought you would be good parents because he gave you hard kids to raise." I hope that's what he thinks because, We have Wonderfully HARD kids!! They are all wonderful and hard at the same time. We love them and are frustrated and bewildered about what to do sometimes, but with the Lords help we have come out of some hairy stuff triumphant! You'd think that just giving us eight children would be enough! Nope we get the interesting life that keeps us on our toes daily, and wouldn't change it for anything because now I know that this is how I get my growth.

Satruday Easter fun!

Danny boys new ball popper! He has no toys of his own so we made the excuse to get him something and he loved it, played with it for hours!!

Yes even the Hawaiian princess got something in her easter basket, new Shades!

Amidst the packing on Saturday we managed to do a little celebrating. We had a little Easter egg hunt for the kids, it was sunny and beautiful and they all woke up to the Easter Bunny leaving their baskets. They loved what they got in their baskets this year. The easter bunny got smart and got one small thing that was individual and cheap for each child then the easter bunny gave each of the kids these fun things called Zoom-o's. They make these little lightweight discs spin then when you let go of the trigger it flies in the air. The kids LOVED them and I must be getting more laid back because I didn't care that the discs were wizzing past my head every five minutes! (psst. the easter bunny got them at Target and the people incharge of stolking the toys say that they can barely keep them in stock, they are super fun!)

EB's Spiderman birthday Party!

He wanted all of his preschool friends at his party even the girls!  He had such a blast and it was fun planning it and making the party with him. He's such a fun boy! 

I have loved doing preschool Co-op this year with him and these kiddios. In fact just the other day when it was my turn to teach the three girls came up to me and said, "I love you Teacher." That melted my heart! 

I'm a big girl now!

We put her into the exersaucer today and she loved it! She looks too cute in it. She's growing way too fast!!

EB is FIVE!!

Isn't he a cutie!! We love our five year old boy! What we love about our boy is that he's always willing to help and be loving. He's our little charmer, (he secretly has his mom wrapped around his little finger). Happy B-day Cute boy!
Our going private is postponed when I have the time to type all the emails in. Probably when we move!

Dave Ramsey Live Event #1

Last weekend Sloane and I had the wonderful opportunity to go to see Dave Ramsey live in Portland, OR. It was a blast. Stayed in a nice hotel, went to Cheesecake factory for dinner, and went shopping at the Portland Mall which reminds me of the Bellevue Mall in Washington, which happens to be my favorite mall. So  do you think Sloane's shmoosing worked? YES, of course!

Shells new haircut!

Shell's new hair cut! She wanted bangs and shorter hair. I cut it myself, I thought it wasn't too bad. 

Conference.

Conference was great! We had the missionaries over for Sunday morning and afternoon, This is Elder Fullmer eating the entire bowl of popcorn!!  Elder Tukuafu is from Tonga and he's a great missionary with a great life story that has made him a great missionary. When he was eight his mom was eight months pregnant his father died, then two weeks later his little brother died. When he was in the MTC he didnt' know the english language and he was only in the MTC for three weeks and his mission pres. decided that he needed to get out in the mission field. He bore his testimony telling this story and he said that he wanted to go home and that he didn't want to look dumb teaching and not knowing the language. Then he bore his testimony that if you put your trust in the lord and sacrifice something, great blessings will come to you. So he decided to send his Tongan scriptures home to his mom and only read from his english ones, within four months he had learned the language! It was amazing! Then he said he thought his testimony was unshakable, and then four months into his mission, his uncle died and then he almost went home again. Then two months later his aunt died and then another aunt and another uncle! He has an amazing testimony that the lord will always be there for you and wants to bless you.
The missionaries have adopted us, they come over often and the kids love it!
