Chrismas in July

5193
At first glance, it is easy to look at a towel as a most ordinary object. Have you ever stopped to think that for thousands of years, the towel has been used for many wonderful purposes? For example, the mother who wipes the tears of a child to soothe an emotional or physical hurt, the physician who binds the wounds of a bleeding patient, or the woman in her home wiping her hands as she moves from task to task.
Perhaps the most significant use of the towel happened nearly two thousand years ago when our Savior, only hours before He hung on the cross, took an ordinary towel in His loving hands and dried the feet of His disciples. This simple, loving act personifies the selflessness and loving service we seek to give during our lives. It illustrates that an ordinary thing like a towel, in the right hands, and with a giving heart, can lighten another’s load. As with every action performed by the Savior on this earth, His act of service reminds us that simple day-to-day kindnesses are the Savior’s way to bless and comfort.
Tag idea: “This towel is given with love and with the hope you will do works of goodness with it as the Savior did so many years ago. May the absorbing spirit of the season blot our problems, soak up sorrows, wipe away difficulties, and may your holidays be shining and bright!’

Yes I am already thinking about Christmas...This year I want to steer away from too much temporal things and go more meaningful. I saw a bunch of great Neighbor gifts but this one really caught my eye in the fact that it was very meaningful and really portrays the Saviors Character and I want to bring that out this season! I will give this as a FHE gift for families and neighbors to use during their FHE if they choose to do so.  So this is what I am giving...If you are my neighbor, don't peak! I got the idea from LDS living.com
I will not want to bake for I will have a new little wee one so I won't have time to do that but I love this idea! I have, I know this will be shocking to some of you but I have decided to not shop until after Thanksgiving! I usually start in August or September. I want my husbands opinion this year and his help, I usually do all of the shopping.

My new hair dew

 Behind the ear look
Or normal!

I got this haircut idea from a blog that I love to look at with my daughter. She is always posting hair tutorials and it's so fun! Now I can try some of her fun hairstyles! For the blog go here.
She cut 8 inches off my hair, I was a little freaked out when I saw it all on the floor! She cut a huge chunk just before she washed it, she said that she didn't want me to change my mind because she knew it also was time for me to cut it all off and start fresh. I had a lot of split ends and my hair didn't look very full and healthy, plus it's so much cooler having it this way being pregnant and all!

Happy Fourth!

We had a great fun filled day! We went to the parade in the morning and it was better then last years parade we even had a great spot to sit and Sloane put up these tents that worked great to keep out the sun, he uses them for Rumbi's when he's doing things outside. Then came home cleaned up a bit and then I made a salad and we went to our neighbors and had a picnic and they invite a bunch of neighbors also. Then we came home and took naps and I made this awesome fourth of July flag Cake, it's a banana cake! Then we went to another BBQ and the kids enjoyed there selves there because all their friends were there and they played volleyball and capture the flag. There was nothing left of the banana cake, everyone ate it all and it was a big cake! Then we came home and rented two movies, Wrath of the titans and Mirror Mirror and the boys watched wrath of the titans and the girls watched mirror mirror, we loved the movies we picked! We did the movie thing instead because going down to watch the fireworks would have been just too much this year with me being pregnant and all and trying to keep track of all the kids. We had a great fourth!
Happy fourth to all of you!!
