Around here the emotion bowl is a big deal! It's a small town thing and that's how small town's work I guess! The emotion bowl is the two most rival High Schools in the town playing football against each other. Dash is in band in middle school and they even get to play and march in the motion bowl. He was so excited and he is doing good at playing the trumpet and we are so happy and proud of him. It's fun to see your kids love what they are into and try hard and the best part is that he has a good friend that's in it with him and he's such a good kid and a great influence on Dash. I love watching him!

ER for baby
On the fourteenth of September our little baby started getting a small fever like, 99.6 or so. On the fifteenth we kept watching it and it kept going up and down, but the night of the fifteenth we decided to take him to the ER. This was super hard for me as a mom, I have never experienced this with any of our other newborns so this was super scary and hard to even want to go in, knowing what they would all do to him. Our doctor said that newborns should not have even a small fever because it means something not good is going on. By the time we took him in his fever had stayed at 101 to 102. The ER nurse said that the best news would be that if he just had a urinary track infection, so I was hoping it was just that and nothing else. So they did blood work and took a sample of his urine, and yes I was a mess, Sloane had to deal with it all while I walked down the lonely hall in tears thinking of all the horrible poking and prodding that they would have to do to my newborn baby. Then as the tests came back we did find out that he just had a urinary track infection but......because of his age and not being very old wanted to rule out possible Menangitis and do a spinal tap on my baby. That's when Sloane got upset and he was a trooper up to this point and then I saw some tears and he got a little protective. So they did the spinal tap and then me and baby had to stay in the hospital for 48 hours to wait for the test results, they came out negative, phew!! We are so happy and blessed to have a great doctor and people in our ward who cared and checked up on us and for good friends and for my visiting teachers who came and cheered me up and for the men who were going around giving the sacrament to anyone who wanted it in the hospital. He's doing better now and growing good and we feel so blessed.

Happy Birthday Violet!!
She's in the two digits now! The big 10! I can't believe that she's that old! She is a wonderful girl full of spunk and loves her siblings and loves her friends! She has a lot of friends at school because she is such a nice girl and everyone loves to be around her. She is loving to her siblings. I made this candy bouquet for her, because she LOVES candy! But then what child doesn't, but this girl seeks candy out! She also got $25 in cash to spend on whatever her little heart desires. She bought herself a CTR ring. For our kids' birthdays they get to pick out their favorite cereal, dinner and dessert and she picked rootbeer floats. We love you Violet and are so happy that you are in our family, you are a joy to have in our family!

EB is my big first grader, sniffle, sniffle!
Shell is my big 6th grader and she gets to wear mascara!
Hawaiian Princess is our cute 10th grade NERD! She decided since everyone is frantically picking out their best outfit for the first day of school, she decided to lighten the tension by dressing up like a nerd and handing out little boxes of nerds, she was a hit! Everyone loved her outfit and esp. her glasses.
Dash is our 8th grader this year and then it's off to high school, eek!
JR is in his third year of preschool and then next year he will be in kindergarten! He has grown leaps and bounds since he started preschool. He even has a funny personality that he has developed and he cracks us up on many occations. We are so proud of you!
