Daddy Daughter Date Night
This was for YW and they had a good time!
They were supposed to dress up like cowboys and cowgirls. Well.....This is Sloane's version, a Hawaiian cowboy, is there such a thing? They had fun playing games and dancing and eaten some grub.
Just Dance!
Sloane decided that he was going to give the older kids dance lessons, he said and I quote, "Dancing is in your blood!" Sloane, when he was in High School use to with his brother make up awesome dance routines where they would flip, break dance, ect. he is a really good dancer. So the kids had a great time watching their dad boogie it up and was surprised how well he danced, it was so funny watching the older two kids watch their dad dance with all his fancy footwork and their eyes popping out of their head in surprise. I actually thought that my kids have seen him dance before but they all said that they've never seen him dance like that! We had music blasting downstairs and all the kids danced it was a fun night!

Happy Thanksgiving!
I have a feddish with all the different drinks, Thanksgiving is not the same with out a variety of yummy drinks. A traditional favorite is the one in the pitcher with half Apricot Nectar and 7up, yummy!
We did have a couple of things that could have ruined our dinner. Right when we were making the dinner the seal on the pipe for the kitchen sink broke and we couldn't use the sink or there would have been water everywhere, so Sloane had to go to the store and get something to fix it, lucky for us a store was open and we were able to take care of that! Then my rolls, oh my rolls, had a weird texture to it that I wasn't use and they weren't doing very well when I was trying to form them ect. so the kids Sloane and I were laughing during the dinner saying that they should have recorded me and put it on you tube while I was pounding the dough and yelling obscenities at it, great memory for the kids of their mom, lucky we can all laugh about it and they amazingly turned out!
Great Thanksgiving, the dinner was amazing! We had roast instead of Turkey, my family doesn't really like turkey and since it was just us we did it how we like it. But best of all we didn't have to go anywhere or get dressed up and we ate till we were stuffed! We also had our traditional frog eye salad, rolls(yes they turned out even though I abused them), gravy that was yummy, green salad, Yummy mashed potatoes, I also made these potatoes that were different and yummy. I used red potatoes and cut them up into cubes and made them like a foil dinner and put butter, seasoning salt and onions, they were good.

This baby is made for Walkin'
She has been working real hard on getting this walking thing down, she really wants to grow up way too fast! Makes me sad, I know it shouldn't since she's my eighth and all but it does. She loves it when people walk with her so she can get all the practice in that she can, she's super cute when she does walk around, she smiles like she's on top of the world, little stinker, No don't grow up so fast! I love my snuggly baby that smiles all the time when you pick her up, but now that she's getting better at walking she wants to be put down after ten seconds of holding her, because she's got places to go and people to see, ugh.

NO, That's not water!
Tuesday morning at 5:00 am Sloane kissed me good bye, he was off to go to Las Vegas for work to take graduation orders at some high schools there with his co-workers and he just got back at 3:00 am this morning. Tuesday morning at 6:45 am I was woken up to Blood Curdling screams and Dash running in my room to tell me that Shell was bleeding really bad (my first thought was that she started her period, that's how I reacted when I started at age 11!) So I ran downstairs to find Shell naked just taken a shower and glass all over the bathroom floor and inside the bathtub, there was also blood on the floor and on the cabinets where she touched. I was calm, amazingly calm, I surprised myself at how calm I was, since I was so calm I was able to hear the spirit tell me what to do next and so on, plus she was so traumatized by the fact that she just opened the glass shower door to get out of the shower and then it completely shattered all over her, I needed to calm her down. First I noticed that she had little tiny pieces of glass all over her body, there was blood coming from her feet and hands so I made her step on a towel and we wrapped her feet up and I had her go upstairs to the other bathroom and retake a shower to get all the tiny pieces of glass off her. When I was taking Shell upstairs to retake her shower, I saw Violet hanging her head inside the toilet, throwing up, GREAT!! I was imagining gouges of glass in the bottoms of her feet that I would have to pick out so when she got out of the other shower, to my surprise she didn't even have a scratch on the bottoms of her feet, there were only small cuts on the tops of her feet and hands! It was a blessing since Sloane just left out of town! Murphy's law: Whenever your husband goes out of town something ALWAYS, or "somethings" ( Remember Violet was sick too), always happens to stretch you to your limits!
Some things that we learned from this experience...That I knew how to take care of situations like that because I was able to stay calm, we have a shop vac (thank goodness) and so I vacuumed all of that glass up, cleaned the floor, took the other glass door off (because we were paranoid about that one breaking too) and then wiped everything down because there were tiny pieces of glass all over the floor and inside the tub even after I vacuumed it all up. I went to homedepot and got a rod for a shower curtain, got a shower curtain and rings to hang it up and then came home to hang it up! It was amazing how much help I received both spiritually and physically by neighbors who I just LOVE, my neighbor took me to the post office later that day to mail my Christmas packages off and then took me to Jamba Juice for a smoothy and then later sent her husband and two guys from our ward to come help take up the other door and shop vac because they were both super heavy! Thank you everyone for caring and helping, I feel safer living here knowing that when Sloane leaves town, me and my family will be well taken care of, both emotionally and physically!

F'hzookie!!
We went to visit the Guthries last weekend and had a great time! We went to this Fire House pizza place and had this delicious dessert called a F'hzookie I hope i am spelling it right, it was the best dessert, made of different types of cookies cooked on a skillet and topped with ice cream and carmel sauce, YUMMY! We had so much fun with our good friends and it's getting crazier since our numbers in children are growing, either we are having kids or they are! Between us both we have 14 children when we are all together, but we don't care we just want to get together as a couple, kids what kids? They just had their sixth precious baby and it's a cute baby boy!
Good times!

Too smart for their own good!
So the other day I accidently left the computer on and EB boy got on it. He was real quiet for a while and then he came in the TV room were I was and said (Beaming of course):
"I changed you and dad's picture on the computer. I like this one better!"
I don't think I even know how to change the picture on the computer let alone my five year old!!! He always amazes me with technology though. When he was little, I just got my iPhone and I didn't really know how to use it, and he figured it out, and then showed me how to use it!! Crazy smart kid!

Danny boy is super smart about knowing his needs.
He was sick two nights ago with croup and it was bad. He was having a hard time breathing. I remembered that taking them out in the cold helped. So we did that, and by the second time, Danny boy was telling us when to take him outside so that his lungs would get better! He's always doing stuff like that! P.S. he also told me to take this pictures of him!!

JR is really good at imitating, people around him. Movies, People, ect.
A couple of days ago I kept hearing this clanking and sliding noises in the kitchen. I went in the kitchen just in the knick of time. He was slamming (lightly mind you) an egg and was trying to crack it open into the pan! He had gotten the pan out (hence the clanking noise), then he got out a spatula, and he slid a chair over by the stove and then went into the fridge and got out an egg. I said when I saw him, "What are you doing?" he said, "What? I'm making myself an egg!"
