She's FINALLY HERE!!

Me just a couple of hours after having baby, it took me a long time to recoupe she was a whopper of a baby and took a lot of strength to push her out, I kept thinking, "why is this taking so long?" Then we found out why when they weighed her 8lbs. 4oz. that's bigger than any of my girls were and almost as big as my two boys, JR was 8lbs 7oz. and Dash was 8lbs. 14oz.
I could cry thinking about this woman, she has an amazing gift for helping women bring sprits into this world and I am trully grateful for her! This is my third baby having it at the Baby Place birthing center. She owns it and starting doing midwifery in her home many years ago, she also has eight children herself, she says I am competing with her, no really I wasn't trying.
Our sweet little baby girl that everyone can't get enough of, Currin Kaikamahinelani Kahuhu.
Her middle name means Heavenly Girl.
Ok so here's my story...I got up in the morning and started to proceed to get everyone ready for church including myself, I had my hair and makeup done. As I was folding some laundry I started having contractions, but I thought they were just braxton hicks. So I ignored them but then I started noticing that  they were coming every ten min. then every eight, then every 4, by the time I decided they might be real Sloane came home from his meetings about that time and decided for us that we were not going to church, then the Hadfields offered to take the older four(brave souls) to church with them and Hawaiian princess stayed home with the two youngest.  At 2:20 we decided to go in but I still didn't really feel like they were real contractions. So when I got there they checked me and I didn't think that I was already dialated to a SEVEN! So we stayed and had baby at 4:15, thank goodness we didn't go to church! She came out fast and had a little bruises on her cheeks and was a little swollen on her eyes and face, but it has gone down since then.  This was by far my best labor, I hardly had any contractions, it was an amazing experience and Sloane was my dula and he was the best! We love her and are so happy she's finally here!

  1. She is even more beautiful in person.
By the time her uncle Jon and I saw her the swelling was down and she is just amazing.
So relaxed and sweet and at peace. I felt her grandfather near and could imagine him telling his daughter in law what a good job she did getting his grand daughter safely here to her loving family where she belongs.
Now Mommy needs lots of rest!
