Recharging our Batteries.....

Every year we like to recharge our batteries for the whole year and go out of town just the two of us, this year we went to Utah. We left the kids home with a wonderful baby sitter! Erin watched the kids and we are so grateful  that she did an excellent job taking charge and manning all these kids! She is great! Thanks Erin, the kids said you will make a wonderful mommy someday! She's twenty and a student at BYU Idaho.
This is my cousin Will. He is my Fathers Nephew on the Stringham side (my dad's side).  He is the only remaining family member in his family, his mom (my dad's oldest sybling) died three or four years ago, his dad died a long time ago of cancer and his sister died when she was eighteen  in a car accident, a long time ago also. He's married and has one adorable son Wyatt who's picture is with me at the top. He has made a remarkable change in his life and we are so happy for him and his beautiful wife. They are working to get their temple recommend and to get sealed in the temple. His mother is really happy I'm sure.

This is my cousin Robyn, we grew up together. When I was visiting we were remenissing about the good old days and we were laughing so hard about the things we did as teenagers. It was fun! Thanks for the good laughs!
This is my dad's brother, uncle Fred. He is an amazing man both he and his wife are spiritual giants. His wife was on the general Young Womens board years ago and he and his wife were also Mission Pres. in the Texas Mission. I love visiting them.

We visited the sweet tooth fairy while we were in Utah and tried their famous cake bites. They were good but over priced, I thought. We also went to the Stephen's Wearhouse where they package up and ship out my most FAVORITE Hot chocolate in the world and bought their damaged cans for only $1.50 a can! It's in Farmington UT. I was so excited to come home with all different flavors of my favorite gormet hot chocolate!
This is my best friend from High School Brigitte and her husband Brandon. They live in UT. We went out to dinner with them and then we went back to their house and they have some land behind their house and her handy husband built her a beautiful tennis court with parking lot lights so that she can play at night too, he also added some speakers and sound system so you could play music while playing tennis. It's a neat set up! She teaches tennis too. We played tennis until after midnight and it was a blast! Thanks guys for a fun evening and all the great tips on playing tennis!
Sloane and I  got to go to the SL temple for the first time! It was amazing and seeing it live was better, I understood it better seeing it live! The temple inside is beautiful and we felt the spirit so strong and there was a temple worker who took some time to explain some things about the temple, that was neat!
This is my Cousin Gary and his Wife Kristi. My cousin's wife Kristi is fighting breast cancer and is in the middle of her radiation treatments, she is an amazing mother of nine children four are her biological children and five are adopted, they are such an amazing family!  We are praying for you Kristi and we love you! We went to our favorite res. P. F. Changs. Gary is project manager for the Church and he is overseeing the new Bishop's store house. He took us on a little tour, it's amazing!! The church is amazing!!! He told us that both store houses, the new one and the old one (they are on the same land) together they are a million square feet!! The new storehouse has back up stations for the semi trucks so that they could just back up to the building and load up what ever is needed and then take off fast to were ever their is needed supplied in the world. They have a building to store a year supply of tires for the 100 trucks that they have and a year supply of fuel and a year supply of parts and tools for the trucks also. They also have one hundred thousand gallons of water and a pump so that if the storehouse or the land that it's on is in any way on fire they could put it out and not have to wait for the fire trucks to show up. It's totally self contained!! Also there is a three years supply of food and supplies ect. for most of the members of the church, not all but most, so it's important to help out in the cause and have your own food storage ect.

We went to the practice of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, it was in the conference center and it was amazing! They even sang one of my favorite songs, "This is my Fathers Work," Sloane was asking the workers/missionaries there about everything about the building and the choir, he got lots of information and he loved it! We also went to the Joseph Smith memorial bldg. and watched the "NEW" Joseph Smith movie, I say new because two months ago they changed the Joseph Smith movie. It useto depict his life and growing up years and they changed it to his life as a prophet and it's even better!! We loved it even more the the original one!

We stayed two nights on Monday and Tuesday at my uncle Richards house in Bountiful, UT he's also my dad's brother and we just love staying with them, I have fond childhood memories of staying with them! Thanks for all the great memories.:)
We also stayed two nights up at Park City UT and we had a blast! We went shopping at the outlet mall, and ran into a blast from the past my friend from high school Heather Childs! It was fun to talk with her, I wish I got a picture of her! We also went down the Alpine slides but our favorite was the Alpine Coaster, yes it's a roller coaster starting at the top of the mountain and going all the way down the mountain, it was a blast!!
We also visited my Aunt Ada (my father's sister) and her husband and my cousin Allen, I neglected to get a picture of her and her family, sorry! But we had a great visit with them talking for three hours. It was fun.
We also toured the Beehive house that was neat.
We had a great week recharging our batteries!
