So I dropped off Dash at scouts last night and they were supposed to go to the airport to work on their aviation marrit badge and instead the leaders decided to make model airplanes. Well a half hour later I get a phone call from one of the leaders telling me that Dash was making model airplanes and slipped with the scissors and cause and deep gash in his upper thigh and will probably need stitches, I am still waiting for the insurance lady to send me the paper work for the older four to get them health insurance, I guess I am more motivated today to call her and ask her why I haven't seen those yet, the four younger have insurance, Murphy's law: when you don't have health insurance on certain children they always get hurt. I amazingly stayed calm and tryed to think of what to do although when I saw the gash in his leg my stomach immedietly started hurting, I guess I can't handle seeing my kids hurt and when you can see meat you know it's bad. So I had a feeling to have his scout leader (who wasn't their last night because he was couching his son's team) look at it because he's a doctor, when he got home and he instantly said "Yep, he needs stitches!" I was thinking of what I could do that wouldn't cost as much, like take him to Ready Care in stead of the ER. But then he said lets go to my office and I will stitch him up real quick and you can be good as new. I started to cry grateful tears. Seven stitches later, he is good as new but a little soar. On the way home his wife called me and said that she was bringing me dinner tomorrow night, I said if anything I should be bringing her dinner as a thank you! She wouldn't take no for an answer though, I just love the people in this ward, so loving and caring, she said that she couldn't imaging what I am going through with all my children and being pregnant and Sloane so busy. He is so busy that normally he takes care of these kinds of things but since he was at a graduation last night and was too busy, I had to take care of it, one of the many things that I normally don't take care of this year but need to because sloane is too busy to do it. It's been growing experience this year taking care of these things and dealing with other things as well this year, I have learned that I can handle these kinds of things, If I don't act like a normal mom who freaks out about these things and just stay calm and let the spirit be my guide. I am grateful that I have learned that this year, it's been good for me.
